We walked to the Canada Line with long pants and long shirts so we would be comfortable on the plane. We were a sweaty mess when we got to the airport...it was 27 degrees.
The KLM flight was good...nice staff, ok food. But the plane was soooo hot...no air circulation so impossible to sleep. Many people took off their shoes AND socks to try and cool off.
We transferred in Amsterdam and it was 30 degrees there.
When we arrived in Edinburgh our exchangees picked us up and drove us to Glasgow...about an hr away. They were so nice. We went to her sister Aileen’s apt as that was where we were staying. She showed us the ins and outs. She had made us a fresh banana bread. The apt is bright and very comfortable.
We managed to stay up until 9;00...so 38 hrs awake 😬
